Israeli occupation forces storm the Tamimi home and arrest 15 year old Mohamed Tamimi in a pre-dawn raid.

Israeli occupation forces stormed the Tamimi home in the village of Nabi Saleh at 2am, 8 April 2019 and have arrested the 15 year old, younger brother of Palestinian resistance icon Ahed Tamimi in a pre-dawn raid.
Mohammed sustained injuries 2 weeks ago; a fractured hand and injured his foot when shot at by soldiers with gas canisters whilst playing with friends, in the village.
Photos of Mohammed Tamimi then aged 11, went viral in August 2015, when during the Nabi Saleh weekly protest action, he was brutally attacked by a soldier despite clearly having a broken arm in a plastercast and sling. His older sister, Ahed along with his mother Nariman Tamimi, his aunt Nawal and other family members acted to stop the soldier and wrestled him away. See video footage and images of that event below.
Children in Palestine living under Israeli military occupation and siege are exposed to violence on a daily basis. The overwhelming majority of Palestinian children who are arrested report physical torture, and endure immense psychological pressures. Forced into signing confession statements in the Hebrew language they don’t understand, the conviction rate for Children tried by military courts is 99.7%. Ahed, his sister said upon her own release from prison in July 2018 said, “There is no justice under occupation”.
“Israeli forces raided our home and arrested my son Mohamed as the army is trying to break the will of our family,” said his mother, Nariman Tamimi. Her older son Waed remains imprisoned for over a year now and she and her 16 year old daughter, Ahed had been arrested in December 2017 and served 8 months in detention.
No reason was give for the arrest of young Mohamed and the Israeli army has yet to issue any official statement.
